Gemm Learning Forms Virtual Advisory Board Learning Intervention Provider Assembles National Perspectives

To harness the resources of business, education and medical experts across the U.S., Gemm Learning has announced the formation of its Virtual Advisory Board.

Pelham, NY (PRWEB) November 3, 2008 -- To harness the resources of business, education and medical experts across the U.S., Gemm Learning has announced the formation of its Virtual Advisory Board.

Designed to oversee the direction of Gemm Learning, the Virtual Advisory Board will be charged with collaborating on future programs and initiatives offered through Gemm Learning's three centers. Since Board members come from across the U.S., all collaboration will take place through online discussion forums, blogs and email.

"By establishing virtual meeting and communication practices, industry leaders from across the U.S. are able to support the Board. Among those lending their expertise to the Virtual Advisory Board are Glenn Tripp of Oakland, California, CEO and founder of Camp Galileo, a science camp firm based in Oakland. A graduate of Stanford University, Glenn has served as Vice President of SCORE! Educational Centers, where he devoted six years to company growth.

Scott Spears of Dayton, Ohio joins the Board having served 35 years as Superintendent of the Springfield City, Ohio schools. Scott was instrumental in incorporating Fast ForWord into the district.

Jeff Thomas of Spokane, Washington, is CEO of Ambassadors Group, leaders of the President-commissioned People-to-People program for high schoolers nationwide. In 2008, 40,000 students will journey throughout the world as part of this program.

The Advisory Board also includes leading clinicians and therapists such as Karen Slotnick of New York, New York, manager of the Speech-Language and Learning Center at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City; Karen Sherman of New Rochelle, New York, occupational therapist and family counselor; Gail Gallante of White Plains, New York, speech and language pathologist; and neuro-psychologist Dr. Christine Mink of Mount Kisco, New York.

Rounding out the Board are professional and parental perspectives from William Tifft of Pelham, New York, founder, Eugeria; Sean O'Neil of Pelham, New York, principal, One to One Leadership; Holly Kennedy, parent, Rye, New York; and Tom Canning, parent, Pelham, New York.
