Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce & The American Red Cross To Collect Emergency Supplies This Friday at The Bellevue

(PRWEB) September 9, 2004 -- To commemorate the passing of three years since the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks and aftermath, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce will collect emergency supplies for our communitys vulnerable and underserved population this Friday, September 10, 2004, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, at The Bellevue, in The Gourmet Food Court, located downstairs at The Bellevue, 200 South Broad Street (corner of Broad & Walnut Streets), in Center City Philadelphia. Donations will be utilized in support of The American Red Cross and SEPA VOAD (Southeastern Pennsylvania Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).

Critical-need items being collected are:

·    Bottled Water    

·    Pencils, pens and small writing tablets

·    Battery Operated Flashlights

·    Battery Operated Radios

·    Unused (new) batteries (all sizes)

·    Non-electric Can Openers

·    Matches

·    Plastic Ziploc Bags (all sizes, from very small to gallon-sized)

·    First-Aid Kits

·    New Blankets (cloth or mylar)
