Alabama native publishes first book

Sandra Isbell, a native of Moody, Alabama, recently had first book, "Aly's Lost Innocence", published through AuthorHouse Publishing. She is currently busy on her second novel, a mystery set in Alabama in 1945.

(PRWEB) September 10, 2004 -- What started with seven pages of a book that was written years ago, recently became a published novel. After brushing off the dust of those few pages, Sandra Isbell decided to finish what was started.

Since reading Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes in high school, Sandra Isbell has been interested in writing. Not until fifteen years later, when she joined the North Fork Oklahoma Writers Group, did she pursue her writing career.

Married to her husband, Garry, for thirteen years and with three boys to keep her busy, Sandra has been able to accomplish a lot. Along with writing, she is a committee member for the local Cub Scout Pack, a volunteer at her childrens school and supports her husbands Air Force career for thirteen years.

"Aly's Lost Innocence" is a controversial novel about a teenager growing up in an abusive home.

As Aly Berbeck grows up watching her father abuse her mother, she finds herself involved in a relationship traveling down the same path. Despite all the mistakes she and her family had made, Aly grows into a courageous young woman.

However, when Alys past tries to take control, her life goes on a downward spiral until she reunites with a lost love she had not seen in years. Garret Yates brings happiness into Alys life that she longs to have. Nevertheless, when time comes to leave for college, he decides to attend out of state, leaving her a second time.

Has she lost him again? Or can love withstand the distance?
