Jersey Shore singer/songwriter BOB BURGER is nominated for his first Asbury Music Award for Top Male Solo Artist, 2004.

Asbury Park, NJ (PRWEB) September 13, 2004 -- Jersey Shore singer/songwriter BOB BURGER has received his first Asbury Music Award nomination for Top Male Solo Artist" after release of his debut solo album CYMBALS AT DAWN (Big Brave Music) in late 2003. Nominee showcases will be taking place between September 15 and September 30 at various music venues around the Jersey Shore. BOB BURGER is scheduled to perform at The Saint on Sunday, September 19, 2004 when his Top Male Solo Artist category is featured (Doors 7 pm; $7). The winners will be announced at The 12th Annual Asbury Music Awards on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at The Stony Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

BOB BURGER has previously been awarded The RIAAs Gold Record award in 1998 for his work with Glen Burtnik (Styx) on Edge Of A Century," and was a 1990 quarter finalist winner in the American Song Festival for his solo composition Turn Away." Voting is not open to the general public, however, a strategic voter selection process ensures that record stores, radio stations, area clubs, music-related businesses, newspapers and local music enthusiasts are all represented in the final tally.
