Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 11, 2004 -- ACT Theatre announced today that tickets are now on sale for A Christmas Carol. Due to the popularity and demand for tickets the theatre is releasing seats early this year to Charles Dickens family classic adapted by ACT Founder Gregory A. Falls. The first of 50 performances in the round in ACTs Allen Theatre opens on November 28th with productions running through December 26th. Previews are scheduled for November 26th and 27th.
Since A Christmas Carols introduction in 1976, over half a million people have attended ACT's performances of the everlasting tale about the lovable curmudgeon, Ebenezer Scrooge. Two actors have been cast to play the starring role in repertory. ACTs main stage actor R. Hamilton Wright will play Scrooge for the first time and last years celebrated Scrooge Terry Edward Moore returns.
ACT's artistic director, Kurt Beattie, returns to once again direct this year's production of Dickens' charming ghost story, mingled with music, dancing and just a pinch of magic. I am honored that ACT Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol is a holiday tradition for so many Northwest families," said Kurt Beattie. Every year I marvel at how relevant Dickens play is to our present day world."
