Beastie Boys Interview, Close and Personal A new San Diego Magazine, SDMusicMatters, interviewed Beastie Boys Adam Horovitz, revealing the humorous and political sides of the musician. Discussions of everything from Cookie Puss to San Diego attractions are covered in the September issue of the magazine. San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 14, 2004 -- Discussing the La Jolla beach, Sea World, Asteroids and liberal politics, Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys tells magazine editor Jen Hilbert what she wants to know on their way to San Diego to play to a packed crowd.
The interview covers some history, some silliness and editorializes the amazing staying power of the band. Selling 360,000 units in one week after six years off is an incredible feat. Adam candidly discusses his impressions of San Diego and his personal interests.
Featured on this month's cover, SDMusicMatters is a new 4 color monthly magazine dedicated to the San Diego music scene and it's culture. Starting as a web site one year ago, the firm has expanded to produce a monthly magazine with distribution in hundreds of locations throughout the county.
Much of the magazine's content is focused on local bands, venues and artists. Every other month, special coverage on a national act visiting San Diego helps the magazine's readers find out even more of what's up in San Diego.
Editor Jen Hilbert, says "San Diego is an exciting place for music. There are hundreds of talented local bands, great local artists and SD draws the attention of national acts. San Diego has produced, and will continue to produce world class musicians who spread joy and culture around the world. Our magazine is intended to help unify and promote San Diego as a premiere place for musical talent."
