Partner at Leading German Law Firm Elected Chair of Lex Mundi

Three Officers and Four Directors Begin New Terms

Houston (Vocus) November 6, 2008 -- Michael Molitoris of Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz (http://www.noerr.com/), Lex Mundi's member firm for Germany, was elected Chair of Lex Mundi by the organization's Board of Directors during the Lex Mundi 2008 Annual Meeting in Buenos Aires. Lex Mundi is the world's leading association of independent law firms with 160 member firms and more than 21,000 lawyers worldwide.

Mr. Molitoris, a partner with Nörr Stiefenhofer Lutz, has been with the firm since 1988. He heads up Nörr's interdisciplinary Dispute Resolution Practice Group and has extensive experience in handling German and international litigation and arbitration cases involving more than 20 countries, especially in the areas of product liability, insurance and reinsurance law and white-collar crime.

(Arizona) to the position of Chair-Elect, Michiel Wesseling of Houthoff Buruma (the Netherlands) to the position of Secretary, and Alan Silberman of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP (Illinois) to the position of Treasurer.

At the same Annual Meeting, the membership elected four new directors to the Lex Mundi Board of Directors: Cheryl Hodder of McInnes Cooper (New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, Canada); Daniel Del Río of Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C. (Mexico); Keith Simmons of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC (Tennessee) and Luigi Bendi of Chiomenti Studio Legale (Italy). They will serve four-year terms.
