Official Launch - 'Uniting People' Internet Platform

This new, innovative and interactive People's Platform will be presented officially for the first time on November 8, 2008 during the First European Human Forum of ANH, Alliance for a New Humanity.

Barcelona, España (PRWEB) November 7, 2008 -- Since 2005, a small group of people from different backgrounds and walks of life started to study and analyze current tendencies within the sector of humanitarian causes, charity, social networking and technologies.

As a result they came to the conclusion that there is a growing demand for:

-    A more direct and human approach between the individual "donor" and the "change agent", the person in charge of its implementation locally.

-    More transparency and openness in the communications, dealings and logistics of each humanitarian project.

-    A 100% direct flow of donations to the locally responsible change agent, without retaining intermediary percentages.

-    Different options to support a change agent, through time/skills/services, goods or money.

-    Emphasis on local empowerment and community building.

With these conclusions and a common passion to unite people and communities towards a better society for all, they started developing www.unitingpeople.com

Uniting People is a non-profit NGO aiming to showcase a large variety of change agents, i.e. people who make a substantial social change in the fields of education, health, peace, social justice, sustainability and poverty alleviation.

People from across the world can freely view, access and be inspired by these change agents and decide to become a participant in a project of their liking by giving time, skills, services, goods or money.

The UnitingPeople platform (web 2.0) is all about virtually connecting people anywhere in the world for the benefit of human sustainability and empowerment.
