Art & Creativity for Healing Partners with C1RCA to Spread "Comfort and Joy" at San Onofre Elementary School

Children of deployed, or soon to be deployed military personnel will receive one pair of C1RCA skate shoes donated by Four Star Distribution

Laguna Niguel, Calif. (PRWEB) November 11, 2008

This holiday season, Art & Creativity for Healing, Inc., a non-profit organization that facilitates fine art classes and workshops for children, teens and adults suffering from abuse, illness and grief, in partnership with Four Star Distribution owner of San Clemente-based C1RCA Footwear and Apparel, will provide each students at San Onofre Elementary School at Camp Pendleton with one pair of C1RCA skate shoes.

"Four Star Distribution has been a long-time supporter of our organization, and we were so touched when Markus and Sandy Bohi came to us and wanted to donate enough pairs of C1RCA skate shoes, so each student at San Onofre Elementary, a school that has been hit very hard by overseas deployments of military personnel, could have a more joyous holiday season, despite the absence of one or both parents," said Laurie Zagon, Founder/Director, Art & Creativity for Healing.

"Being part of a military family can be very difficult, these kids move around frequently and often have to live without one or both parents for significant amounts of time," said Markus Bohi, CEO, C1RCA Footwear and Apparel. "We are thrilled to partner with Art & Creativity for Healing in sharing the joy, in what otherwise might be a dismal holiday season, with the students at San Onofre Elementary School."

Over the last six years, the Bohis have sponsored many Art & Creativity for Healing fundraising events, donating their time and resources to help this organization success. Sandy Bohi served as Board Chair for four years, and currently serves as Chair Emeritus of Art & Creativity for Healing's Board of Directors.

During the month of November, Art & Creativity for Healing is also making an appeal to all of its supporters to provide enough markers and colored pencils, watercolors, small journals, sketch pads, sketching pencils, and wrapped holiday candy to fill plastic shoe boxes for the children who attend San Onofre Elementary.
