Sledding, Tubing, Snowmen and Snowball Fights Create Childhood Memories for Kids and Parents Alike

Wintergreen, VA (Vocus) November 8, 2008 -- Snowmen, snowball fights, and sledding all bring to mind nostalgic thoughts of winter, and with Wintergreen Resort's (http://www.wintergreenresort.com/) latest kid-friendly attraction, adults can relive their childhood memories, while kids can experience a winter season they'll never forget. Ridgeley's Fun Park, Wintergreen Resort's newest winter play area, includes a mini-tubing carousel, fun tunnels, sledding and tubing.

Located at Discovery Ridge and open on weekends and holidays, this winter wonderland offers one hour sessions for $10 per person or $18 for two hours, just long enough to work up some red cheeks and the need for warm hot chocolate. Children need to be supervised when playing in the Fun Park and adults inside the area need to be ticketed.

In addition, children can engage in quality snowsport instruction and fun-filled seasonal activities at the property's award-winning Treehouse, as well as Ridgeley's Rippers (for ages 4 to 12) which includes ski lessons and indoor camp activities. This program is a great way to spend the day with new friends who have the same skiing ability. Full day program includes lift access, up to four hours of ski lesson time, ski equipment, lunch, snacks, and hot chocolate. Half day programs are available Monday through Friday for $65 and on Sunday for $90, per child. Full day programs are $95 during the week and $135 per child on Saturday and Sunday.

Older children enjoy the Out of Bounds Adventure Dome that is home to video games, foosball, air hockey and more.
