Internet Radio takes Women's Ministry to the World

Gaylord, MI -- Women By Grace Radio, a new internet talk show for Christian Women, was launched on September 3, 2004.

Gaylord, MI (PRWEB) September 17, 2004 -- In 2001 Kelly McCausey and Sandra Jensen began a Women's Ministry for their church in northern Michigan. What started with plans for one retreat turned into vibrant monthly and annual events and an online ministry to women all over the world.

Neither had previous women's ministry experience and went to the web to seek out help and information. Disappointed with what was available, they created their own website to share their experiences with others who were wanting to do something similar. They have chronicled many of their events, menus, projects and study outlines on the website.

WomenByGrace.com received over 6000 visitors and 16,000 page views in August of this year.

Kelly McCausey takes care of the website and says, "We receive email from women who are touched by the articles or encouraged by our ministry reports. One woman wrote to ask if they could copy our 'Grace By Night' Ladies Night Out program, right down to the name we use. We were glad to say yes."

Both Kelly and Sandra speak and teach locally and have been invited to speak to other women's groups in the past year. Their love of teaching has birthed a new project: Internet Talk Radio.

Internet Radio has exploded on the web, with more households adopting broadband internet access, its easier to listen to than ever before. Noticing a lack of available programming for Christian Women they went to work on a plan.

Women By Grace Radio, a weekly half hour program, launched on September 3, 2004. The show features topics like women's friendships, seasons of life and ministry, marriage, parenting and more. They have plans for featured guests and will be sharing recordings from their live events.

McCausey shares their mission: "We hear from women who are not part of a church and they want to connect with other Christian women. It is our goal to touch their lives with a positive message and encourage them to get connected with a local body of believers. Internet radio is a great new way to share God's message but we all need a church family to survive spiritually."

The show is broadcast using streaming technology and is available for listening on demand at the ministry website. A new show is made available every Friday morning and the program is archived so that listeners can catch up on what they have missed.
