Media Company Wins Award of Excellence from Training Industry The Canadian Society for Training & Development has awarded its 2004 Canadian Award for Training Excellence to ExecuGo Media for its design, development and delivery of The Hallmark Way," a back to the future" kind of employee learning program for Hallmark Canada. In an era when most training industry pundits debate whether the future of business training lies in e-learning, classroom events, print materials or a combination of all three, ExecuGo Media and Hallmark have decided that the answer is: none of the above. The Hallmark Way features the ancient art of people helping people -- with the right mix of new-age digital and traditional print media simply supporting their efforts. Toronto, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) September 18, 2004 -- The Canadian Society for Training & Development has awarded its 2004 Canadian Award for Training Excellence to ExecuGo Media for its design, development and delivery of The Hallmark Way," a back to the future" kind of employee learning program for Hallmark Canada.
When Hallmark Canada formulated a vision for its recently revamped Retail Service Group to be regarded by its customers as the very best such organization in the country, it recognized that the knowledge and skill level of employees would have to be quickly expanded and sustained as an essential ingredient to its success. Al Russell, National Training Manager, says, We wanted to enable both new and experienced people to continuously grow relevant knowledge and skill to such levels that our abilities truly became a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace over time. We wanted a Hallmark way to grow and chose ExecuGo Media, with its unique mix of perspective and experience in this arena, to help create it."
To create The Hallmark Way, ExecuGo Media focused upon neither the medium nor the message, but rather the trainee, as the key element in success. Recognising that humans learn best when effectively coached through live experiences, ExecuGo Media created support architecture with practical content and tools for managers to productively coach employees while actually working together in the real workplace, rather than in simulated classroom or e-learning settings. Practical but engaging support content and tools enable employees to prepare for and measure these coaching experiences. Traditionally minded employees can choose to access these from printed binders, while those more comfortable with the digital age can choose high-impact, interactive eBooks.
Steve Bowering, CEO of ExecuGo Media says, Its truly gratifying to publish a great learning program and have it receive such a prominent industry award as the Canadian Award of Training Excellence for its ability to accomplish its purpose: to deliver learning, rather than for the bells and whistles of the media it comes in. Thats media that means business."
Hallmark Canada is now in the process of rolling out The Hallmark Way across the country and on the basis of its success has engaged ExecuGo Media to create a second Hallmark Way - for a different management audience.
The Canadian Society of Training & Development will officially award ExecuGo Media and Hallmark Canada the Canadian Award of Training Excellence for The Hallmark Way at a ceremony during its annual exposition in November.
