About Paper Shouts' Designers

Bonnie Bell, Inventing Mathilda

Owner and designer, Bonnie Bell prides herself on creating stylish and memorable paper products. Bonnie's love for design started years ago as a second grade teacher where she had a passion for creating class bulletin boards. Bonnie found herself ready to translate her love for design into a business. Bonnie cultivates all of her creative ideas and meticulously constructs vivacious birth announcements, photo birth cards, and personalized stationery. She has a definite aversion to drawings of little pastel rattles and rubber ducks and adamantly believes that there are other endless other possible artistic ways to celebrate babies and children. She loves using unusual patterns, shapes, and colors. Bonnie lives in Denver with her nerdy husband and two energetic daughters.

Julie Heinze, freelancer

Julie Heinze is a freelance designer and faculty member at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. After spending the first several years of her design career at Apple, she moved to Southern California and became involved with book jackets and logo designs, as well as all types of advertising. Her inspirations range from Moroccan patterns (she lived in Morocco) to the surf culture of the beach city where she now resides with her husband and three kids. She loves to travel, and uses the opportunity to explore foreign design and architecture, and often finds herself in bookstore or stationery shops.

Gabriela Martinez, Texto

Since 1990, Gabriela Martinez founder of Texto, a service print and online graphic design firm, has been designing for a variety of clients, including the performing arts, museums, and high-technology companies. Gabriela and the Texto designers enjoy their most valued asset: imagination. With a background in music and fine arts, Gabriela draws inspiration from creative sources such contemporary architecture and Turkish textiles. Gabriela works hard to have a balance between work and family. She lives in Los Gatos with her two children Eloisa and Sasha and their two high strung dogs.

Melissa Stanchock, ModernMe

Melissa Stanchock is the owner and designer of ModernMe, a children's clothing line with a unique concept featuring clean, modern design. After working six years as a freelance designer and following the birth of her son, Melissa began devoting herself fully to building her own company. The company focuses on educating children and toddlers in a playful and original way, introducing early object recognition and word association through their clothing. ModernMe is based on the theory 'form follows function'. The clothing line, and now her card designs, are creative and innovative outlets that allow Melissa to utilize her background in graphic design. She currently resides in Southern California with her husband, son, and Siberian husky, Nikita.

Marci Stewart, freelance designer

Marci Stewart is a freelance designer specializing in all types of print layout design for both profit and non-profit organizations. With over 18 years of design experience, Marci's passion is creating fun and unique event graphics, invitations, and announcements. She has a love for all types of design, from vintage styles to simplified modern designs, using fresh colors and hip fonts. She is a mother of three young boys and uses each baptism, birthday, and all family events as opportunities to challenge herself and thrill her guests with original works of art.
