BlogCatalog.com Launches BC 360 Blog Search Widget for Bloggers

With the BC 360 widget, bloggers can now help their readers search across all of their posts, their favorite blogs and social networking activities, including Twitter, Flickr, StumbleUpon and Facebook.

San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) November 11, 2008 -- BlogCatalog.com, a fast-growing social network for bloggers and blog search engine, has launched BC 360, an embeddable tool that allows blog readers to perform custom searches on their favorite blogs.

The BC 360 search engine can also be configured to provide all relevant posts from a blogger's favorite blogs on BlogCatalog.com. Berkman says this feature can be used for customized blog searches among blogs that members trust or used as a tool to help promote content published by friends.

"Some members have been asking for new ways to link to their friends and favorite blogs, and BC 360 does this while adding the power and functionality of a search engine to do it," said Berkman. "It's similar to Lijit, but integrates BlogCatalog features such as the member's favorite blogs and our social search engine. The result of a blogger using the BC 360 widget is increased page views and depth of site content."

The BC 360 widget shows up as a small search box on the blog or Web site where it is installed. Different tabs allow the person performing the search to view results from the blog, view results from the blogger's social networks and friends, or the results from all blogs included among the blogger's favorites on BlogCatalog.com

"My favorite feature is that you can include Digg among social network search options, which adds even more opportunity for content to become viral," said Berkman.
