Ft. Lee, NJ (PRWEB) September 18, 2004 -- The Korea National Tourism Organizations (KNTO) New York Office is Co-sponsoring the third biannual adoption conference hosted by St. Johns University Center for Psychological Services and Clinical Studies entitled THE DYNAMICS OF ADOPTION: A Three Way Mirror: Adoptees, Birthparents and Adoptive Parents.
Social responsibility is a major part of Korean culture and Korea recognizes the important role that tourism plays in fulfilling its responsibility globally," said Gregory M. Kelly Public Relations Manager for KNTO New York, St. Johns is greatly respected in Korea and around the globe for producing socially responsible citizens through this conference and other global outreach activities as an integral part of its core values, vision, and mission."
According to Dr. Rafael A. Javier, Ph.D., ABPP, Director, Center for Psychological Services and Clinical Studies, St. Johns University: Building upon the two previous conferences, we have developed another opportunity for professionals, scholars, students and those touched by adoption to learn more about yet another aspect of the adoption experience. Representatives of the adoption triad will begin to explore the overt and covert dialogue that occurs between adoptive parents, birthparents throughout adoptees lives. This dialogue allows conference attendees to hear directly from adoptive parents, birthparents and adoptees as well as from therapists with expertise in adoption who will assist in better understanding the dynamics that occur within adoption triads."
The conference will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004 from 8:30 a.m. -- 5:30 p.m. in New York City at the Manhattan campus of St. Johns University.
