"It is a lot easier to ask people for used cell phones that they no longer need, than it is to ask for money, or to purchase overpriced goods from a catalog," says Surber. "Imagine... most students will have access to friends and relatives who will gladly give them a cell phone they were going to throw away anyway. The possibilities are great!"

In addition to helping schools, YouCell.com, Executive VP, Rebecca Duke says they have raised funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Salvation Army through the donations of generous citizens. Donations are tax deductible and YouCell.com provides a receipt for each donation.
