Isle of Man wholesaler, H E Richards, is investing in an Accord distribution system from leading UK supply chain software specialist, Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP).

Stockport, UK (PRWEB) September 23, 2004 -- Isle of Man wholesaler, H E Richards, is investing in an Accord distribution system from leading UK supply chain software specialist, Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP).

A family owned business, established in 1973, Richards offers both a Delivered and Cash & Carry service, supplying a complete range of ambient goods to retailers and food service operators across the island. Customers include garage forecourts, independent and small chains of retailers, hotels, restaurants and educational and health establishments.

The new Accord solution is for Richards recently acquired fresh, catering & chilled depot in Douglas. Trading under the 'Matco banner, this new operation complements Richards existing ambient product offering, allowing the company to provide a more complete service to the catering market.

The 12 user Accord system for the Matco depot, encompasses the complete Accord solution including Purchasing, Stock Management, Sales Order Management, Warehousing, Logistics, Point of Sale and Financial Accounting and will link to Richards existing system via a VPN. BCP worked closely with Richards to implement the system as quickly as possible in order to minimize disruption to service. From order to go live at Matco was less than one month.

Brian Isaac, Managing Director of Richards, explains: We chose Accord for the new depot as we wanted to standardise systems across all operations and our existing Accord solution has proved highly successful, requiring minimal maintenance and allowing us to operate profitably and provide excellent service to customers."
