Thinking Outside the CUBEicle: College Student Seeks Out Tuition Aid the E-Fashioned Way Terminate the Rat Race and Ratzapper.com have teamed up to create an unorthodox way of raising college tuition. Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 12, 2008 -- College student and businessman Keith Reisig has officially launched his new campaign project, Terminate the Rat Race. With rising costs of college tuition and worries of national economic difficulty, Reisig seeks to leave the traditional cubicle behind for an innovative way to pay for his college tuition.
The idea behind Reisig's Web site (terminatetheratrace.com) is to sell "cubes" in exchange for advertising, using eye-catching graphical images. Curious companies are invited to take advantage of this economical and successful way of advertising their products and services.
Each cube is set to sell for $100.00 U.S. dollars. Companies may purchase as many cubes as they want. There are, however, rules and restrictions in place to prevent explicit content. All images and links must be appropriate for all audiences.
As the Rat Race site blog states, 15 cubes have already been sold to some of Reisig's local friends and businesses. With spring semester quickly approaching, he aims to spread the word in time to buy those required and pocket-killing textbooks.
Reisig designed the site with the goal to eliminate the daily 9-5 grind that continually limits his focus on his full time studies. By day, he is a network administrator at a local insurance company; by night, he studies business and informational technology, working toward his degree in Informational System Security. Like many young adults, he studies hard, but with the overwhelming, familiar doom of student loans.
According to Reisig, his main ambition is to concentrate on school and to keep his grades high. He notes that "joining the FBI is and always has been the primary goal in life" and that to do so, must get the most out of his academic college experience.
Bradley Bailes, owner of the Web site funnyshirtz.com and Reisig's first advertisement contributor, mentioned "not only is Keith's idea exciting, it's downright genius. He put a whole new spin on web advertising and at the same time, he's ending the rat race!"
Ratzapper.com, a rodent control product, is a proud sponsor of terminatetheratrace.com and its quest to sell cubes. The two companies seem to have no connection; however, the clear irony of it is unmistakable. With that in mind, Ratzapper.com explains, "This is just crazy enough that it might work."
