(PRWEB) September 24, 2004 -- Preliminary results of the mates4dates Dating and Friends Survey" ( http://www.mates4dates.co.uk/ ) for the UK reveals that 62% of people have played cupid and set their friends up with other friends.

Us Brits just love being Davina or Cilla and setting up our friends. However, it would seem that those who try internet dating do quite like it with 93% of users on mates4dates saying they would definitely or probably recommend it to their friends.

As for first date locations once you have got past the web: 63% of Brits believe that the best location for a first date is a Romantic Candlelit dinner, with only 5% of those surveyed preferring to treat their date to a show or a movie.

Nichola Hatcher, Director of mates4dates says Armed with this information, those who go internet dating with their friends stand a much better chance of meeting the right person for them, plus of course the chance to set their friends up with other people online is fun as well"
