SymbianOne And Cognima Snap Together At Symbian Expo; Cognima Snap provides effortless photo upload for SymbianOne's Expo coverage.

We are pleased to announce that we will be bringing live images from the Symbian Expo show floor with the assistance of Cognima and Orange Partner using Cognima's revolutionary Snap technology. Right now a demonstration page is available and full coverage will start 5th October.

UK and New Zealand (PRWEB) September 24, 2004 -- Leading Symbian ecosystem web site SymbianOne and Cognima have combined forces to bring images and commentary from the Symbian Expo conference floor instantly to the web with Cognima Snap. Symbian Expo -- the smartphone show - is the only tradeshow dedicated to every aspect of the smartphone industry and takes place in London, UK, on the 5th and 6th of October 2004.

Cognima's Snap technology will provide regular updates from the Symbian Expo by enabling photos from the show to be uploaded onto the SymbianOne website instantly. The SymbianOne team will take photographs, add commentary, and immediately upload images to a web based blog to provide a unique insight into the show and meet SymbianOne's goal of providing its readers with comprehensive, up to the minute information on the Symbian ecosystem. Symbian Expo is the premiere event in the Symbian calendar and this year promises to be the biggest and most comprehensive gathering of the leading companies supplying Symbian OS products and services as well as the broader wireless market.

"The advantage of Cognima Snap is that it immediately provides the option to upload a picture to the web straight after it has been taken and then handles the whole upload invisibly in the background. The convenience of Cognima Snap will allow us to quickly gather high quality images and add commentary without worrying about complex upload procedures," says Richard Bloor, SymbianOne co-founder. "This will allow us to concentrate on covering the show."

"The Symbian Expo is a great place for us to join forces with SymbianOne to show Cognima Snap in action", said Simon East, CEO of Cognima. "A busy mobile phone exhibition like Expo tends to saturate the local mobile network coverage but Cognima Snap is designed to work in exactly these kinds of conditions to make sure the photos get delivered to the destination online photo album without any extra input being required from the user".

The project is being sponsored by Orange Partner - the global partner and developer programme from Orange, which fosters the development of new mobile technologies and services. As well as the SymbianOne team, several Cognima and Orange employees will also be using Cognima Snap to post their personal images and thoughts on the Expo via the SymbianOne web site.

A demonstration page is now available http://beta.cognima.net/expo and links to the SymbianOne photo coverage and additional pages from Cognima and Orange will be found at http://www.symbianone.com/symbianexpo
