Miami Artist Marissa Perry Launches Debut Solo Exhibition "The Offering"

Perry presents over 10 new works in her debut show The Offering" as featured artist at Axis iLab Gallery (166 Alhambra Circle, 2nd floor, Coral Gables, FL 33134). The opening reception with the artist is Friday, October 1st 7pm-10pm.

Coral Gables, FL (PRWEB) September 24, 2004 -- Marissa Perry will debut new works in her solo exhibition, titled The offering", at Axis iLab Gallery in Coral Gables (166 Alhambra Circle, 2nd floor, Coral Gables, FL 33134). An opening reception with the artist will be held on Friday, October 1 from 7pm-10pm in conjunction with the Coral Gables Art Walk.

Fusing realism and abstract styles, with a vibrant palette, Perry portrays life with strength and sensitivity in her acrylic on canvas paintings. Primarily self-taught, Perry grew up in Boulder, CO. She graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a degree in International Studies. Perry now resides in Miami. Currently, she is a resident artist at Café Tu Tu Tango in Coconut Grove. Perry runs D*Senyo Arts, a web based company which she created to promote her paintings, photography and handcrafted books.

Axis iLab mixes both fine arts and graphic arts in a combined gallery space and state of the art computer training lab. In his second floor gallery, lab director and owner, Anthony Marino features emerging artists, while teaching courses in cutting edge graphic design programs. I wanted to create an atmosphere that would inspire my graphics students," Marino says. The opening reception will feature a patio party with artist Perry and a free 40 minute Adobe Photoshop CS training session by Marino. The show runs October 1 -- November 31, 2004.
