At the FAEDS 2008 Annual Conference, JDL Technologies, Inc. teamed up with Fidelis Security Systems, Inc. to present an informative seminar on "Preventing Data Leakage in Educational Institutions."

The conference was held from September 28th to October 1, 2008 at the Caribe Royale Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. This year the theme of the FAEDS conference was "IT in 2008: Finding a Path to Cost Savings & Efficiency." Mr. Etue provided case studies on how students could use classroom or library computers to plan, create and send threatening content using social networking, instant messaging and/or webmail applications. The suite of internet security solutions can also detect when private student information is being leaked to the outside world. Mr. Etue showed how the Fidelis XPS prevented a faculty member from selling private student information to a sports equipment marketer.
