Mitch Kapor in conversation with Joe Trippi Join Of By and For, where we explore important political issues in depth. Our first live event will be a conversation between Joe Trippi and Mitch Kapor (audio stream, text chat participation by all) on Friday, September 24 at 2pm PDT (21:00 UTC) at http://www.ofbyandfor.org/. San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 24, 2004 -- Of By and For, a new web site dedicated to a discussion about political reform in the US, is pleased to announce our first live event, with Joe Trippi, formerly the campaign manager of the Howard Dean presidential campaign. Trippi will be in conversation with Mitch Kapor, founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation. The audio stream will be carried live over the Net and a simultaneous live text chat will be offered. Everyone is invited to participate in this first OB4 In Depth event. Questions and issues from the live chat will be incorporated into the live audio conversation.
Each month, Of By and For In Depth will focus on a book that explores important political issues. We will invite people to read the book before the OB4 live event, so that they can be active and informed participants. The live event will kick off an in depth online discussion about a specific issue.
Joe Trippi has been actively involved in American politics for almost three decades. Last year, he was the architect of the Dean for America campaign and helped bring American politics into the Information Age or as Trippi calls it the Empowerment of Age.
"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" is a compelling read about Trippi's life in politics and his experiences running the Dean campaign. It also lays the foundation on how the Internet can change American politics.
Read the book and join us at http://www.ofbyandfor.org today, Friday, at 2pm PDT (21:00 UTC). If you can't join us for the live event, check back on Monday - we will offer an MP3 audio archive and blog summary of the event.
