Where The Dead Love To Shop Post mortem collectibles and mortuary novelty store for grim shopping (PRWEB) September 2, 2004 -- Anubico caters to your dark side. One of the more interesting post mortem collectible shops out there it is owned by a trio of funeral directors.
The owners of Anubico all attended mortuary college together, they currently share a home together and they discovered that they all have a similar sense of humor. "Death is serious business, but you have to have a release from the despair and sadness of death, humor is a great way to get through the tough times" says Angie McAllen, a mortuary student, who is a customer and friend of the company.
"Anubico has formed some strategic alliances with some of the best businesses in the death humor and novelty industry" says co-founder Jason Serinus. "We have actually been in business for two years, but we recently opened our website at anubico.com as we have moved from being just a local shop to a global enterprise" he advises.
Anubico sells everything from embalming, autopsy and morbid humor videos and DVDs, books dealing with death, obituaries and funerals, to wonderful art pieces and odd novelties.
They are currently developing their own T shirt line among other interesting items.
"For years the funeral industry has had a black eye from the scandals of unscrupulous funeral homes, overcharging for goods and services and for being focused more on profit than on helping families" comments James Dale, another customer of Anubico. "These folks show that there are people who aren't just out for profit".
"We hope to bring death related humor and novelties to collectors at a reasonable price. There are people out there selling Batesville casket keychains at a huge profit and the consumer isn't aware that they are marking them up 300-400 percent in some cases. At Anubico we offer them for free with certain purchases" says Angie Carsma who helps in locating the great products they offer.
"Anubico is perfect for the collector who likes odd items. Some of our category names are sure to make the most serious person laugh. Death is scary to many people and it's a taboo subject. We think it's time to bring it out of the closet" says Jason Serinus.
