Working Across the Border: Joint US/Canada Drug Law Enforcement

"Operation Candy Box" and "Project Codi"

Arlington, Virginia (Vocus) November 17, 2008-- The DEA Museum (http://www.dea.gov), in conjunction with the Canadian Embassy, is pleased to present the Fall 2008 Lecture Series featuring successful joint operations between the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as well as various local and provincial law enforcement agencies. Please join us for the first of two lectures highlighting these joint operations.

DEA's Operation Candy Box (http://www.dea.gov), along with its Canadian counterpart Project Codi, was a two-nation crackdown on a huge drug trafficking ring that manufactured large quantities of ecstasy and marijuana in Canada and then shipped them to cities around the United States. Join DEA Special Agent Alex Dominguez along with Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant Craig Sorrie and Ontario Provincial Police Detective Sergeant Mike Brehmer as they discuss the facts of the case.
