Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 4, 2004 -- As The Austin Voices 20th anniversary nears, the newspaper is undertaking a major expansion project to increase its readership and continue their award winning writing. The Austin Voice has announced plans to start a community development center (CDC), while moving forward to become a weekly paper in color and be accessible on the Internet. Under the guidance of Isaac Jones, Brad Cummings, and Andrew Griffin, The Austin Voice has been the leading newspaper for the West Side of Chicago on local and national issues for close to twenty years, and because of this the paper has embraced its role as a community leader and activist.
With a CDC The Austin Voice can help educate the children in the community with Life Experience training while preparing them for success in economics. The newspaper believes as a cornerstone of Chicagos West Side it has a responsibility to help in the growth of the community.
