Ion Chromatography tests deployed on electronic components to determine levels of halogens

The IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries has issued a testing method for measuring halogens in fiberglass reinforced laminates and prepreg using ion chromatography (IPC-TM-650 2.3.41). Innovatech Labs employs a method similar to the IPC method; however, an oxygen bomb is used to incinerate the samples. The resultant residue is then tested for halogens using ion chromatography..
