Artist Jeff Fioravanti to Appear at 2004 AMART Civil War Symposium at Princeton University

10th annual symposium sponsored by the Association of Mid-Atlantic Civil War Round Tables to benefit preservation and scholarship programs

Nationally recognized and award winning artist Jeff Fioravanti, announced today, the he will be appearing at the 10th Annual Association of Mid–Atlantic Civil War Roundtable’s (AMART) Civil War Symposium, November 5 & 6, 2004, at Princeton, University, Princeton, New Jersey. The theme of the 2004 Symposium will be, “The Battle of Gettysburg” which Fioravanti has painted extensively as part of his historical landscape series.

Known for his evocative and touching works of America, including his aforementioned historical landscapes as well as works of his native New England, Jeff Fioravanti has worked diligently to help protect and preserve our nation’s most treasured lands.

Sponsored by the Camp Olden Civil War Roundtable, the 2004 Symposium will feature some of the most recognizable and respected authors, historians, and authorities on the American Civil War known today, including Nobel Prize Winner, Dr. James M. McPherson, who received the award for his highly acclaimed, “Battle Cry of Freedom” a one volume work on the American Civil War.

In addition to Dr. McPherson, other notables scheduled to appear and offer programs include, Dr. David Martin, Jeffry Wert, Troy Harman, Patrick Falci, George Wunderlich, Jane C. Peters Estes, Stanley Saperstein, Joe Bilby, Craig Caba, and the African-American performance group, “Seven Quilts for Seven Sisters.”

Mr. Fioravanti, is a member of several preservation organizations throughout the United States. He also holds membership in six national and local art associations, including advance standing or signature membership in the Pastel Society of America (New York, NY), Connecticut Pastel Society (Meriden, CT), and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (Barnstable, MA). He is also listed in Marquis' "Who’s Who in America."
