Stark & Stark has created the Vioxx Trial Group in response to Merck's voluntary withdrawal of Vioxx. New clincal data has shown an increased relative risk for heart attacks and strokes in people who have taken the drug.

(PRWEB) October 11, 2004 -- On Thursday September 30, Merck announced a voluntary worldwide withdrawal of its arthritis and acute pain medication Vioxx. According to a Merck press release, the decision was based on new, three-year data from a clinical trial, which showed an increased relative risk for heart attacks and strokes.
