Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale takes bronze award at the 2008 European Beer Star Award

This year Anderson Valley Brewing Company's Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale was awarded a coveted bronze award at the European Beer Star Awards.

Boonville, CA (PRWEB) November 25, 2008 -- Each holiday season, Anderson Valley Brewing Company brews their luscious Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale. This year this special beer was awarded the bronze award at the European Beer Star Awards. This ale previously won Gold Medals in 1997 and 1998 by the World Beer Championships, and was the 1998 World Champion Winter Ale.

The European Beer Star Awards is an international competition with over 688 beers from 32 countries. This competition includes breweries all over the world which uphold a European brewing tradition. Anderson Valley's bronze award was presented as part of judging criteria including authenticity, character and flavor.

"I'm so proud of all the accolades the Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale has collected," says John Kuhry, General Manager of Anderson Valley Brewing Company. "This award makes it even clearer; this is the perfect holiday beer to share with your family and friends."

This creamy and smooth ale is brewed with caramel and crystal malts to give it just a touch of sweetness. The rich flavor is then paired with a proprietary blend of holiday spices.

As with all of Anderson Valley Brewing Company's products, Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale is neither sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized. To fully enjoy this seasonal ale's flavor combinations, it should be served between 40° and 45°F. Always store Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale somewhere cool.

This coveted brew is released just in time for the holidays and sells out year after year. Purchase now before waiting again.
