Magician and HypnoDiva Combine Talents as Therapy for People With Disabilities Project Magic benefits children and adults with mental and physical disabilities using magic as a therapeutic tool. Magician Robert Wong and hypnotist Johanna Lane will perform at a fundraiser to support the effort. Calgary, AB (PRWEB) October 9, 2004 -- What David Copperfield began in 1982 continues today as Project Magic, because of the efforts of hypnotist Johanna Lane and magician Robert Wong.
The two will combine their talents in a show that promises to enthral, astonish, entertain, educate, and inspire -- all for a good cause. This mesmerizing performance supports the efforts of Project Magic to reach out to those who are physically or mentally disabled.
Lane is one of only a handful of female hypnotists in the world. She is one of North Americas very finest hypnotists, and has performed across the continent in front of audiences as large as 5,000. She uses her hypnotism skills to teach people of all ages to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Wong has over 28 years of experience entertaining audiences throughout Canada and on board many cruise ships. Using magic as the medium to entertain, educate and to inspire, Wong has been asked to speak to Fortune 500 companies on topics such as sales and customer service excellence.
Creating a sense of wonder, sharing and giving back is what real magic is all about," said Wong.
Inspired by the work of magician David Copperfield, and always a believer in giving back to the community, Wong initiated Project Magic here.
Magic is used as a therapeutic tool to help children and adults with various physical and mental disabilities. Learning a skill that most normal people don't know how to do makes patients feel special. And not only does the magic help with improving motor skills, their self-esteem is also boosted," explained Wong.
The public are invited to a benefit performance by Lane and Wong for Project Magic. The 9:30 p.m show takes place on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the Plaza Theatre, 1133 Kensington Street, Calgary.
Tickets are only $10, and are available from Lane on-line at www.projectmagic.ca or www.johannalane.com, or by calling her at (403) 521-2270.
