This website answers all of your questions and gives you an incredibly candid and realistic view of what incarceration in a federal prison camp is really like. Life does not come to an end when faced with this predicament however avoiding it all together is by far the preferred method to maintaining a sense of stability and consecutiveness in your life path. Business students and Professors involved with Business Ethics could benefit from this site as well. (PRWEB) October 8, 2004 -- Welcome to Federal Prison Camps.com. This site is intended to inform and educate the reader on the realities involved with incarceration at a minimum security, federal prison camp. For me, facing prison sort of felt like the world was coming to a halt, and for one specific purpose; letting me off. Eventually, I came to realize that this was actually a time in my life when focusing on the future was more important than ever, or a future would not be had. Mental preparation became so important and with the support of my family and good friends, I was able to adjust my mindset as needed. This site combines my personal experiences shared with opinion, a bit of compassion, and lots of first hand information thrown in to ensure a candid depiction and understanding of the process.
A wide range of emotions can come into play when someone is faced with incarceration and the perception of helplessness or vulnerability, is not surprisingly the result. When I eventually made it to the camp, I was told by several individuals to "stay below the radar". I had no problem with that but unfortunately, I had already been in the dreaded "hole" for 16 days while waiting for a bed to become available at the camp. Time spent in the hole is a very unpleasant experience.
To add salt to the wound, nobody had explained to me that a form needed to be filled out in order to get phone numbers approved prior to making any calls. So for 16 days, while everyone at home worried and wondered why they were not hearing from me, I lied awake in the hole wishing that I had been better informed. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done at that point.
I have taken the time to identify the most common areas of question, detail and curiosity concerning life at the camp, and compiled the data into an online and very unique information center. Federalprisoncamps.com.
