Share Your Shame & Win!

Small Dogs Press is getting people in the mood to share the bad things they do for love by starting a monthly contest that includes giveaways of autographed books and t-shirts.

(PRWEB) October 15, 2004 -- In "She's the Girl" by Susan M. Brooks, the heroine Natalie drives 3,000 miles to surprise her ex from high school. She gets more than she bargained for on this odyssey of self-discovery and myth-busting through the western United States.

Now's your chance to share your most embarrassing attempt to hook up with an ex and win an autographed copy of "She's the Girl" and a limited edition "be the girl" tank top.

Been reduced to scouring Classmates.com for your junior high first loves? Sabotaged an ex's current romance just to get in good with the one that got away?

"We know that everyone's done bad things for love," says Susan Sabo, publisher, referencing the company's tagline and slogan, "I do bad things for love. "Now we just want them to step up and share the shame."

A small press located in Southern California, Small Dogs Press specializes in fiction that revolves, in some way, around love, or lack thereof. Their next title, "Collecting Candace," (due in February '05) promises more (literally) bad things -- this time more sinister than a simple road trip.

"A lot of people misunderstand our slogan," says Sabo. "They immediately think of something sexual, or demeaning. But it actually has a much deeper, more universal meaning that's explained in detail on our website. The contest is designed to play off your imagination, and at the same time introduce new readers to our list."

Small Dogs Press will run a different contest each month, each playing off their slugline "I do bad things for love."
