Pink for a Cure

Helping minority women to get the information they need regarding Breast Cancer.

Plainfield, NJ (PRWEB) October 16, 2004 -- Top Drawer Events and Our Time Our Voices Women's Empowerment Group are proud to host Pink For A Cure. Pink For A Cure will be a night of fun and information for Breast Cancer Awareness.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and with this in mind Our Time Our Voices feels the need to get as much information out about the subject especially to minority women.

"Minority women are hard hit for many illnesses in their communities and a lot has to do with the lack of information,failure to get or afford proper healthcare EARLY ENOUGH (which is paramount to successful outcomes) and very importantly, many suffer in silence,"says Our Time Our Voices founder and owner of Top Drawer Events, Alana Edmundson. "Our goal is to break some of these barriers and get these women and their families what they need - support.

The event is being held on Friday, October 22, 2004 at the YWCA , 232 East Front Street, Plainfield, NJ from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $20 in advance which includes a dessert buffet bar, guest speaker and silent auction with proceeds benefitting local breast cancer awareness support groups.
