Patriotic School Kids Endeavor to Form the World's Largest Fan Club When Nick Salyer (a 4th grader), and Tana and Tyler Salyers (twin 2nd graders) noticed all of the negativity towards America, both inside and outside the country, they decided to do something about it. They decided to build some unity and national pride by forming the world's largest fan club - The U.S.A Fan Club. Vanderbilt, TX (PRWEB) October 19, 2004 -- After discussing the idea with their father, Jay (an offshore oil rig worker) and their teachers, "the kids" approached The Guinness Book of Records and obtained an application. Next, they built a website for the project. At that point, they knew that they needed to publicize the project. For that, they turned to Internet marketing expert, Willie Crawford of http://WillieCrawford.com
"When Jay first approached me with the project, I thought not another one," chuckled Crawford. Crawford, who has been an internet marketing consultant since 1996 is approached weekly by people wanting to promote pet projects. After reluctantly looking at this project, Crawford, who is also a retired Air Force aviator, anxiously tackled the project.
The entire school in the tiny Texas town will track the project as Nick, Tana, Tyler and hundred of thousands of supports work their way into the history books. They don't have a deadline for setting the world's record - they just want to do it as quickly as possible. The Internet and local media has been their main methods of promoting the project thus far. Crawford confided that the team plans to coattail on the pending presidential election, and also garner publicity from military connections (to help spread the word).
It's a big project the Salyer's have taken on but they are sure it will succeed. Many people will join the fan club and help to promote the project so that they can say that they helped to set a world record. People from any country in the world are welcome to join. They just need to believe in the concepts that America represents such as liberty and the right to build a better life. In the process of setting the record, "the kids" do hope to create a more positive attitude about America in general.
