FatPort Unveils Wi-Fi Systems Consulting Division

New ‘Professional Services’ division successfully completes Excilan integration contract

FatPort, an Ignition Point company, today announces the successful completion of the new Professional Services division’s first contract, to Excilan, enabling a ‘Pay By Mobile Phone’ service for Wi-Fi providers.

Formed to leverage our vast experience working alongside other innovators in Wi-Fi, FatPort’s Professional Services division will concentrate specifically on development and integration of roaming into billing systems, as well as on deployment and management of private wireless networks for apartments and offices.

Using FatPort-engineered technology, Excilan’s ‘Pay by Mobile Phone’ product is appealing to anyone with a mobile phone needing to pay for Wi-Fi services. It also keeps the customer from having to remember yet another password, as the account ID is tied to a phone number.
