America wonders how New Yorkers can put up with the stress and the percieved dangers of living in the "Big City". Well, New Yorkers are a strong breed, not arrogant as many think just determined and pro-active in getting what they are looking for. And since 9/11, New Yorkers stay in New York for the holidays.

If Marion Nagy, who opened the original Marion's in the 50s after escaping communist Hungary, were alive today, she would take great issue with the restrictive rights limiting policies of the present administration. And with her that's how the Marion's traditional Giving Thanks dinner came about. Marion wanted to honor and thank this country for opening its arms to her and giving her the freedoms she didn't have in her homeland.

In tribute to her, Marion's will be having it's umpteenth Thanksgiving Day dinner.
