The New York International Music Festival Proudly Returns to New York showcasing Musical Talent From All Over the World. The bi-annual New York International Music Festival is proud to showcase the talents of unsigned musicians from all over the world. Music industry professionals are invited to attend the showcases which will take place at Opaline (85 Avenue A at 6th street.)from November 12th - 19th. New York, NY (PRWEB) October 24, 2004 -- This Fall, the New York International Music Festival will return to Manhattan from November 11-19 for nine days of performances, panels and parties. 200 musicians in all musical genres will showcase their talents in front of influential members from the entertainment industry. Live performances will take place at Opaline (85 Avenue A at 6th Street). The festival will host an opening night networking party to welcome participating artists from 7 p.m. Midnight at Club Spirit (530 West 27th Street).
NYIMF's executive producer and legendary performer Frank Munoz commented, "We are very proud of our emerging talent and look forward to another successful event in the one of the best entertainment capitals in the world. Participants will get a great chance network with invited A& R representatives, perform live and get important insights into the music business."
Highlighted acts for the New York line-up include award-winning Pop/R&B sensation Nicki Foxx who was a big hit at the NYIMF showcase in Los Angeles. Nicki will be performing Let's Go", an upbeat pop/dance song produced by Platinum Music Producer, Van Gogh (Boys II Men'). Other notable soloists include Cody Smith and )))) R&B entries include Chandiss and award-winning Canadian singer Donna King. As always will expose the talents of over 40 rap and hip-hop artists such as Anthony Mendez, Flawless, Brusier and Versatyle. The festival also boasts a high number of bands in all musical genres. Stellar rock act CAIN, electric rock act Chancer and heavy metal trio Heavens Guardian will all compete for the prestigious Grand Jury Prize of Best Band.
Daily panels will take place at the Village East Theater from 10-11:30 a.m. The panels are designed to help participants gain knowledge about the many facets of the music business and will include representatives from major and independent record labels as well as music critics, publishers, marketing specialists, publicists managers and entertainment attorneys. Invited panelist Damon Eden (Atlantic Records) commented "It's so important for aspiring singers, artists, writers, and producers to become involved in events such as the NYIMF that genuinely support and promote new talent." In addition there will be mentoring sessions, on site CD evaluations as well as the chance to perform at the New York International Music showcases in Sydney and London in 2005.
The music schedule, advanced tickets and VIP passes are available by logging onto the festival website (www.newyorkmusicfest.com). Daily passes/tickets are available for $20 and also include free entry into the festivals parties and panels. All-access VIP passes are priced at $100.
