Eastern Fuels Of Plymouth Announces Winner In Raffle To Support ALSA Jim Catfish" Hunter Chapter

Eastern Fuels of Plymouth continues its efforts to support the Carolinas' Chapter of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA).

Plymouth, NC (PRWEB) October 27, 2004 -- Eastern Fuels of Plymouth raffled away a prized Carolina Fryer in an effort to support the Carolinas' Chapter of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA). Mr. Vincent Cooper of Plymouth drew the winning ticket and claimed his prize at Eastern Fuels' Plymouth office, located at 3034 US Highway 64 E.

A total of 361 tickets were sold at $1 a piece throughout the month long raffle, with all proceeds going to the Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter. Kristen Gibbs of Eastern Fuels of Plymouth coordinated the employee-held fundraiser, and the entire team contributed their efforts and support.

Plant Manager Melissa Grant said Cooper was "really excited about winning and glad to contribute to a great cause." The Cooker/Fryer, equipped with propane gas, is valued at over $200.

ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, affects as many as 30,000 people in the United States at any given time and 5,600 new cases are diagnosed annually. The Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter covers both North and South Carolina, and is one of 39 chapters of The ALS Association.
