KidsBookshelf - Bringing Children and Books Together

(PRWEB) August 11, 2000

KidsBookshelf is a web site especially for children who love to read and for parents who are looking for good books for their children.

The goal at KidsBookshelf, whose web address is http://www.kidsbookshelf.com, is to promote creativity and imagination in children through reading, writing, and drawing. The site has book reviews for children ages infant through young adult, as well as poetry and short story writing contests each month, with winners receiving a $15 gift certificate for books and a creative kids drawing contest each month, with the winner receiving an art kit.

Other attractions include family craft projects and recipes, an author/illustrator spotlight, addresses of favorite authors, and pictures to print and color.

Children are encouraged to send their drawings to be published on the site, and KidsBookshelf welcomes ideas from parents and teachers on projects, recipes, and their favorite children’s books. The web site also has a teacher’s section where classes can send in stories and book reviews to be published on the site.

The site has links to other child-pleasing and educational sites and to many author and illustrator sites. Site visitors can sign up to receive a free KidsBookshelf newsletter.
