Pure Pop Singer-Songwriter Regan Lane Reunites With Former 80’S Band Mates Strypes For A Full Blown Reunion Show

The power of music and old friendships lead pure pop singer songwriter Regan Lane to his former band Strypes for a reunion show at The Swiss Tavern in Tacoma, WA with a guitar raffle for fans and a canned food drive for the community in the Thanksgiving season!

(PRWEB) October 28, 2004

Pure pop singer Regan Lane is a very busy man these days. Between his personal solo acoustic shows, his new Thursday Night Music Club finding an audience and being dead in the middle of recording his solo cd ‘More Will Be Revealed’ with producer Todd Ensminger, Regan has now consented to do a series of reunion shows with his former band Strypes.

Who: Strypes

What: Full Blown Reunion Show!

When: Nov 6     9 to 1 pm

Where: The Swiss Tavern 1904 S. Jefferson Tacoma Ph_ 253.573.2821

How: $6.00 Cover

Or $5.00 with canned food donation for The Food Connection canned food drive.

Regan explains his involvement in the Strypes reunion and why life is meant to live: “ I hadn’t spoken to anyone in Strypes in 5 or 6 years and out of the blue I received a call from Jesse Seales, the Strypes guitar player asking if I’d like to do a few reunion shows. As a one off it sounded like a great idea to see old friends and to be around them sober. Doing any type of nostalgia thing is a double edged sword, because on one hand it’s flattering to have people want to still hear your music 20 years after the bands’ demise, but as for those days being the good old days for me personally it’s just not true. I was a selfish drug addict and a non-existent parent and family member in those days. Back then is not the ‘good old days’ for me. Today, being clean and sober gives me the chance to be who I am supposed to be. I’ve never been happier with my place in this world, and even though I’m a little wore out from this extra work, to share the gift of music, help the community in the holiday season and see old friends is something I just couldn’t pass by!”

Strypes Band Bio

For nine years, from 1981 to 1990, Strypes rocked the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Formed by best friends, keyboardist Robert Richholt and guitarist Jesse Seales in the late 70’s; the Strypes lineup was completed with the addition of singer-songwriter-front man Regan Lane and drummer Andy Morrison. A bevy of bass players came and went, including Steve Fossen, formerly of Heart.

This hard rocking and hard partying band released 3 singles and a full-length album ‘The Difference’, embarked on several successful tours of Japan along with extended stays in Korea, The Philippines, Guam and hit all the hot Los Angeles clubs while on numerous successful cross country tours across the US.

With all great bands there is a certain chemistry that only certain band members can create and Strypes are no different. For the first time since the bands’ demise in the early 90’s, the original members of Strypes will reunite for a select number of shows.

Regan Lane, Robert Richholt, Jesse Seales, Andy Morrison and honorary Strypes member Ray Hartman, formerly of Groovy Times In Babylon and BrokenNess plan to rock the northwest this coming fall with the same energy and intensity that they were so well known for in the 80’s.
