Week-Long Mind/Body Lifestyle Retreat for Women with Type 2 Diabetes Set for November 7 - 13th in Vermont Special Week-Long Retreat for Women with Type 2 Diabetes to Jumpstart Lifestyle Changes. Chalmers, M.S., R.D., C.D.E., Nutrition Specialist at Joslin, is one of four Joslin staff who will participate in the Green Mountain program, adding a wealth of practical experience to classes that include: Beating Diabetes Burnout; Building Self-Esteem & Assertiveness; Becoming a Skillful Eater; and finally, Taking it Home. Other Joslin staff participating include John Zrebiec, L.I.C.S.W., C.D.E., behavioral specialist in Joslins Section on Behavioral and Mental Health, and Cathy Mullooly, M.S., R.C.E.P., C.D.E., Clinical Exercise and Fitness Specialist at Joslin in Boston. With these personnel and class offerings, the program aims to improve each womans health and quality of life.
