KUA Honors 270 Years of Combined Employee Service

The Kissimmee Utility Authority board of directors on October 27 honored 21 employees for a combined 270 years of service to the utility.

KISSIMMEE, FL (PRWEB) October 31, 2004 -- The Kissimmee Utility Authority board of directors on Wednesday honored 21 employees for a combined 270 years of service to the utility.

Many of the employees honored were hired 10 years ago to prepare for the opening of KUAs Cane Island Power Park, a 1,027-acre power plant located in Intercession City, FL. This included eight employees from the utilitys Power Supply department: David Aviles, Tim Briggs, Bob Chywski, Bob Crisp, Marcial Diaz, Steve Gibson, Neute Johnson and Mike Stefka.

Other employees honored at the October 27 meeting included (by department):

Power Supply:

25 years -- T. J. Palmer

Engineering & Operations:

15 years -- Alan Burkhardt, Bruce Thompson, Tony Wilson

10 years - Mike Taylor, Bill Weidman

Customer Service & Marketing:

20 years -- Johnnie Hewitt

15 years -- L. J. Crouch, Cathy Mickel, Waverly Padgett, Debbie White

10 years - Brenda Hebert, Diane Sweenor
