Mediabuddies Worldwide Research Study Into Media Lifestyles

What are journalists, PR and advertising people really like? The first global research study into the lifestyles of journalists and other media professionals was announced today (2 November 2004).

(PRWEB) November 4, 2004 -- It is to be conducted by VAR International Limited, an independent market research company based in London, on behalf of Mediabuddies.com, the reunion and networking club for the media industry worldwide.

As an industry, journalists, broadcasters, advertising and public relations executives are often involved in talking about and commenting on the lifestyles of other people. But there is very little information about the people in our own media industry" says David Davis, the former Times journalist and founder of Mediabuddies.

He added: The results will be of great interest and help to promote the media industry by shedding some light on us, who we are, what we do for fun, do we enjoy our work, are we happy? Are we really the hard working, hard drinking, hard living lot we are sometimes portrayed as? Do we really set out to disregard the feelings and privacy of others in order to get a story? These are just some of the questions to be raised by the study."

Mediabuddies in 45 countries have been invited to participate in the study and the questionnaire is also posted on www.mediabuddies.com which is visited by thousands of other media professionals each week.
