DC Comedians Join Forces to Take on Any Audience

4 DC/Baltimore comics are teaming up to put on the most entertaining comedy showcase around. Are these guys the next kings of comedy or just court jesters?

(PRWEB) November 3, 2004 -- From Tough Crowd to Last Comic Standing it seems that stand up comedy has once again pushed itself to the forefront of pop culture. Something new has been brewing in the underground comedy scenes of Washington, DC and Baltimore. Like a breath of fresh air, a young and hungry crew of very unique comics are combining their talents to put on one of the most unusual and outright hilarious comedy showcases seen in years.

The group calls themselves The Unusual Suspects," . This eclectic and extremely funny foursome holds nothing back and leaves their audiences with a smile that even botox cant correct.

What makes our show so unusual is the different styles of comedy all mixed into one performance," says host Sean Joxe. While Sean will hit you from one direction with his unique blend of observational humor and race related jokes about superheroes and movies, Justin Schlegel will destroy you from another with his dark, yet incredibly hilarious take on life (or lack there of). Im the kind of guy that gets a job as the janitor in your kids school just to make you feel uncomfortable," says Justin.

That sets the stage for DCs most outrageous musical comedian, Doug Powell, who will have you in the aisles with his morbid songs about strange relationships, how to be a bad father, and boy bands fighting to the death. When asked why he decided to blend comedy with music, Powell replied, Ive kind of always wanted to be a rock star but look at me, Im 25, balding and I look like an elderly woman with my shirt off."

And just when you think youve seen it all, Eric Myers, a DC and Baltimore favorite, will take the stage and absolutely floor you with his fast-paced, unbelievably funny, and one of a kind routine. Eric is one of the areas top up and coming comedians and has featured for comics from Mitch Headburg to Pablo Fransisco.

This show is a comedy fans dream come true! The Unusual Suspects" kick off their tour of our nations capital this coming Wednesday, November 10th at Jillians (inside the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Md.) Showtime is 9:00 PM. Tickets are five dollars and can be purchased at the door.
