President Of Sanford-Brown College - St. Peters Appointed to American Diabetes Association St. Louis Board

Sanford-Brown College- St. Peters announced today that Julia Leeman, college president, has been appointed to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2009 Board.

St. Louis (PRWeb) December 16, 2008-- Sanford-Brown College- St. Peters (http://www.sbcstpeters.com/) announced today that Julia Leeman, college president, has been appointed to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2009 Board. The ADA is an organization dedicated to the prevention and cure of diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

"All of the faculty and staff at Sanford-Brown, including myself, have a commitment to supporting great causes in the community and diabetes is something that my nursing and allied health graduates see impacting the lives of so many people every day," said Leeman. "My faculty and healthcare students are advocates for educating the community on prevention and management of diabetes. I look forward to my position on the Board as one which can organize and involve them in the ADA, which provides a great service to those affected by diabetes."

Leeman is a graduate of University of Missouri - St. Louis where she received her Master of Education degree. With an extensive background in college administration, Leeman has served the students of Sanford-Brown College - St. Peters for over four years. Leeman is also a director on the Missouri Association of Private Career Colleges and Schools Board and a member of the Committee on Transfer and Articulation appointed by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. She is a member of the American Council on Education, the American College Personnel Association, and the Career College Association.
