Writing Home for the Holidays Unique class helps authors craft stories for the holidays Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 8, 2004 -- The holidays were fast approaching and Laura needed help. She and her five siblings were gathering for the first time in nine years at the family home in Washington, and she wanted their reunion to be special. A lot had happened in those nine years -- the death of parents, the birth of children, a divorce, a near fatal car crash, and her own realization that her career wasnt going to be enough. Big changes were in the air, and she wanted to find a way to bring them all together -- to remind them that they were a family that could love and support one another through anything. The question was, how was she going to do that?
Lauras solution was simple. She contacted Jena Ball at The Nature of Writing --an online school offering classes in memoir, nature, and food writing - and asked Ball for help writing and fine-tuning stories from her childhood. Over the course of the next four weeks thats exactly what they did. At the conclusion Laura had a story to give to each of her siblings, and Ball had a new class for her school entitled Writing Home for the Holidays."
This years Writing Home for the Holidays" class will run for four weeks beginning on Monday, November 15th. The class will focus on choosing, writing, and editing a story to be given as a gift.
