Univenture's Innovative Packaging to Be Used as a Value Added Feature for Maxell DVD Recordable Products

Marysville, OH (PRWEB) November 11, 2004 -- Univenture, Inc., an award winning inventor and manufacturer of a wide array of media packaging solutions, announced that its UniKeep(R) Disc 10 Wallet, with the company's patented Safety-sleeve(R) disc pages, is now being used by Maxell Europe for retail packaging of selected Maxell DVD recordable products. Univenture's operation in Dublin, Ireland is providing complete packaging fulfillment services for this project.

Each of the Maxell discs is packaged in its own Safety-sleeve(R) disc page. This proprietary Univenture innovation features lift-up windows to securely hold the disc in place. Offering unparalleled disc protection, the Safety-sleeve is long-wearing, durable, and inexpensive. It also has a higher perceived value than other comparable materials. The Unikeep provides the consumer with a functional storage and archiving product for disc media. Maxell is providing a value ad storage component to its DVD Recordable products. The storage component of the Unikeep and Safety sleeves will provide Maxell with brand exposure and recognition as the package is used over and over again.

The single-injection molded, two-ring UniKeep Disc 10 Wallet is fully enclosed with a full-wrap overlay that allows for customized, full-color front and back-cover graphics. It is constructed of an environmentally safe, unique 100% polypropylene material, which allows purchasers to easily dispose of the wallet through curbside recycling programs.

Among its many features loved by both retailers and end users is its space-saving, stackable design. Its thin profile requires less than 1/4 the space of traditional jewel boxes. This compact size also translates into lower shipping costs.

The Univenture Dublin, Ireland is responsible for the complete packaging fulfillment and management of the account. Maxell Europe provides it the discs and cover panel graphics. The facility fits the graphics into the Wallet. Its highly specialized equipment then inserts the discs into the Safety-sleeves. Once everything is inside, a Univenture-produced tamper-evident label is placed on the package to keep the contents safe.

Maxell DVD recordable products packaged in Unikeep wallets will be distributed throughout the whole of Europe.
