Rosia Lee Ivey's Recipes for Life

($9.95) ISBN: 978-1-4349-0140-8, paperback

Rosia Lee Ivey is now ninety-six years old. She started cooking at the young age of thirteen. When Rosia's father died, all the household duties and cooking responsibilities fell on her shoulders. Her mother knew she could count on Rosia Lee to help take care of the family.

John Arthur Ivey, Rosia's youngest son, wanted to write her legacy. The best way to represent his mother is to share the love of her cooking, which he put in the form of a cookbook. There are all of Rosia's southern-inspired recipes, which include "Rosia Lee's Real Apple Pie," "Ox Tail Stew," and "Cherie's Jazzy Gumbo."

John hopes everyone will enjoy the food that has inspired his mother and sustained her family for over eighty years. Rosia Lee Ivey's Recipes for Life is a taste of life provided by Rosia and her family.

About the Author

John Arthur Ivey received his bachelor of arts degree in English in 1972 from the Livingston College Campus at Rutgers University. He is a member of the NAACP, the United Negro College Fund, and OBBOT&C. Like his mother, he enjoys cooking and owns Clancy's Cantina/Aqua Lounge in Oakland, California.

John has also written four plays that have been performed professionally.

In memory of Celia Ivey Brown, Rosia Lee's second-oldest daughter, a $1 donation will be provided to the Leukemia Research Foundation for each book sold.

A Falcon Plays Politics: An Educational Novel

($9.00) ISBN: 978-0-8059-7819-3, paperback

Jack Jade--"Pigeonhole Jack," as he likes to be called--is President of the United States, but he has a secret. Perrie, an ancient peregrine falcon possessing supernatural powers, knows his secret and goes on a modern journey inside Washington, D.C., to expose Jack. The mysterious envelope that contains Jack's secret suddenly ends up in Perrie's possession, and Perrie is determined to wait until the right moment to expose Jack's secret.

A Falcon Plays Politics: An Educational Novel is a refreshing read for readers that incorporates a foundation in government and politics while serving a delightful tale about a falcon whose dedication to "equal justice under law" proves to be beneficial to all mankind.

You Are The Problem, You Are The Solution

($19.00) ISBN: 978-0-8059-7776-9, paperback

"You are where you are right now in life because of what has gone into your mind." From this first sentence of Andy Holligan's You Are The Problem, You Are The Solution, the author encourages each of us to take responsibility for what we allow to influence us and offers hope to those interested and willing to change their lives for the better.

Holligan explores the connection between the subconscious mind and self-esteem before expanding his focus to consider the effects of both positive and negative emotions. Outside influences, including media, are also examined, and the reader finds practical, results-oriented advice on controlling what we allow to shape our lives. Emphasizing the importance of visualization and a positive mental attitude, Holligan reminds us that God created each individual without setting limits on what we can achieve. Our limitations are self-imposed--and we can also remove these barriers and free ourselves to achieve the success to which God calls each of us.

About the Author

Andy Holligan is an independent business owner in his native Scotland, Great Britain and has been involved in Multi level Marketing since 1995. His interests include playing chess, outdoor pursuits, studying military history, reading and dining out.
