Lucio Salvatore's Exhibition "Selfportrait" Delights Art Lovers in St Barths During New Year's Celebrations

Exhibiting for the third consecutive year in the island of St Barthelemy, Salvatore presents a series of visionary works that are a beautiful metaphor of contemporaneity.

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 28, 2008 -- Lucio Salvatore latest work delights art lover and celebrities, such as Clive Davis and Roman Abramovich that are visiting St Barths this year.

After many years of experimentation with innovative materials, the Italian artist creates a series of works on traditional canvas with an extraordinary technique:

Salvatore's strokes are "imprisoned" between the surface of the fabric and transparent plastic with whom the artist packs the artwork.

The subject of these apparently abstract paintings is a representation of contemporary humanity that is portrayed rigorously in black and white - this body of work is a metaphor of our existence viewed through the eyes of a young visionary artist that goes to the essence of his time, beyond common sense.

Lucio Salvatore "Selfportrait" -- Opening Reception December 29th, 6-9 p.m., Tom Beach Art Studio, St Jean - St Barthelemy.

the exhibition will be open until Jan 6th 2008
